1) When were you happiest?

I lived much of my early life in Somerset.. it was great; lots of free time, open space and the naivety to not realise what the world (and people) are actually like.

2) What is your greatest fear?

Until recently it was being wrongly accused of a crime, however now I have a son it’s more about him and what the future holds for him.

3) What is your earliest memory?

Being a passenger in a lorry, my dad was a HGV mechanic and during the summer holidays I used to stay with my Gran and Grandad’s a lot. Dad worked next door and used to come and get me every now and then for a road trip in a lorry … Being bigger than everything else on the road is a good feeling.

4) Which living person do you most admire, and why?

I admire anyone who manages to overcome adversity but other than that I just live my own life, don’t have any idols or role models I look up to. I try to be a good person and live an honest life, I don’t need to admire anyone else to do that.

5) What is the trait that you hate in yourself?

A lack of confidence, sometimes compensated for by an increase in volume that and the fact I’m not as nice a person in general now as I was say 10 years ago, that’s what life does I guess.

6) What is the trait that you hate in others?

People who are nice to your face but slag you off when you’re not there. If you have something to say about me, say it to my face and we can ‘discuss’ it.

7) Apart from property and cars, what’s the most expensive thing you ever bought?

Most definitely my drum kit, by a long way. A very nice sparkly blue DW collectors (custom).

8) What is your most treasured possession?

Not so much a possession but the thing I treasure the most is my son Josh.

9) What would you super-power be?

Would be quite cool to be able to control fire or lighting or something like that. Not sure how helpful as a super power that is as it’s more likely to cause damage than help.

10) What makes you unhappy?

Hmm.. Strangely one thing that makes me the most unhappy is other people. Could just be the way they act that makes me sad or could be that they are unhappy. However they can also be the thing that makes me happy for the same reason.

11) What do you most dislike about your appearance?

Scars, I have lots from a misspent youth (that and the fact I’m quite clumsy).

12) What is your favourite word?

Silly question, words are all good if used in the correct context.

13) What is your most unappealing habit?

I’m quite (I think most people would say very) stubborn and have a tendency be believe I’m never wrong, I suppose the first step to a cure is finding the disease.

14) If you could bring something extinct back to life, what would it be?

Probably the Dodo. Appears to be a gentle animal. Its biggest crime was tasting good and not being scared of people as far as I can make out, so I think it deserves a second chance.

15) Is it better to give or receive?

Hard question depends on the circumstance. That said if you give me a gift I don’t care what it is (could be a packet of sweets or a car) as long as it’s a surprise but if I give a gift I like to give one that the person really wants and probably wouldn’t get if I didn’t buy it.

16) What does love feel like?

Love is unconditionally being willing to help someone if they need it. That’s why you can love friends, family, pets etc. It’s about your willingness to help when they are in need.

17) Which words or phrases do you overuse?

With due respect at the end of the day buzzwords are robust and if you are proactive and think outside the box …. yada, yada, yada ….. you get the idea

18) What is the worst job you’ve ever done?

That’s difficult, my worst job isn’t the one I have hated the most. However working over 100 hours a week starting at 4.30 every morning with no holiday for 3 years (bar 3 Christmas days) for what equates to about a pound an hour probably should be.

19) If you could go back in time, where would you go?

Depends if I can get back? I would love to go back to lots of times in history See how the Romans ran their empire, enjoy the rise of the British throughout the world, find out how they built those fantastic monuments such as Machu Pichu, the pyramids and Ankor watt find out what did happen during the dark ages and much more …. But wouldn’t want to stay at any of them.

20) How do you relax?

I don’t really tend to relax, I find it quite hard to sit and do nothing. That’s said nothing is more stress relieving than banging those skins and making some cool choons with friends.

21) What single thing would improve your quality of life?

I’m actually quite happy with my quality of life now, however every ones quality of life would improve if you could do the things you love without worry.

22) What do you think of as your greatest achievement?

Sorry, a cheesy answer here I’m afraid …. My son is my best achievement (ask me again in 15 years and it may be different).

23) How would you like to be remembered?

Just to be remembered is probably enough, would be horrible to be completely forgotten wouldn’t it.
