Formed in 2001, Underdog was founded by Andrew Chirgwin
(rhythm Guitar) and Steve Brian (drums), aiming to produce rock
music, but away from the mainstream 'pop rock and emo' of the
time.

The band, originally called Bacchanal was short a bass player, lead
guitarist and singer. After several years of trying out many
friends and musicians (see more) in 2006 Jon Bramley joined the
band as singer, recruited from a side project Steve was involved in.
Jon eventually took up position as the Bass player too.

Jon fitted in well with his growly voice sitting nicely on top of the
rock vibes being played, however lead guitar was still not sorted.

In 2008, after much searching, Jay Talenejad joined Underdog as
the lead guitarist. At this point much of Underdog's first studio
album was complete, so with Jay on board Underdog started to
write new material.

With jays 'classic rock' licks over the top of the new tunes, and
Steve and Jay both taking up some of the lead vocals on the new
songs, Underdog’s line up was complete.

Underdog's album titled ‘BLACK’ has now been completed and is
due to be released in March 2010.
